The lecture was held at 11 am, Friday, 7th March, 2014, Multipurpose Hall, IWSA, Vashi

Dr Chaudhari enlightened the audience about Biomedical Research and the different laboratory animals which are used for enhancing our knowledge of human diseases.  He explained how scientists strive to better understand the causes of disease; to develop new drugs, vaccines, or procedures to prevent or treat diseases; and to test the safety of products we use every day of our lives. Through similarities between humans and laboratory animals, we have gained information about our bodies and how they work. We continue to learn more and are now able to apply that knowledge not only to humans, but also to our pets, wildlife, and other animals.
He informed that our ancient loyal friend, the DOG, has helped us in understanding and finding cures for diseases like cancer, organ transplant and nutrition.
Around 30 students, some teachers, friends of IWSA and IWSA members attended the lecture.
